Sark is a living, breathing community where there is always something going on. Visitors are always welcome and getting involved and experiencing these seasonal features of island life adds a new dimension to your stay.
There are annual scheduled events and many more that emerge during the year, such as concerts, plays and royal visits. The main events are the
Sark Folk Festival and the
Sheep Racing weekend, but there are many more local occasions such as the Church Fayre or the Horse and Pet Show; a family event where the spirit of Sark is very much alive. The Midsummer and Grand Autumn Shows are a showcase for the produce of Sark’s farmers, gardeners and cooks and a barometer of Sark’s passion for growing and producing the very best.
So much happens on this small island; from fundraising jumble sales to lectures; garden walks and wildflower fortnight; cricket, football and hockey matches; and astronomic initiatives celebrating Sark’s Dark Sky status – and there’s still time to relax.
