Travel to Sark is quite straightforward and usually involves reaching Guernsey before taking a ferry to Sark. It is possible to take a ferry from Jersey during the summer months only.
For most journeys it is best to be sure of the boat connection from Sark first of all and to work back from that before arranging the rest of your journey – see the Sark Shipping timetable Allow one hour between arriving at Guernsey airport and your ferry leaving for Sark. The ferry times to and from Sark vary between 45 and 55 minutes.
When you arrive be sure that your luggage is carrying labels (supplied by your hotel) and they will be taken off the boat and delivered to your hotel.
Once you have made your way through the tunnel, the Harbour Hill tractor-bus (known as the 'toast-rack') will be waiting to take you to the top of the hill. Other than the centrally located Aval du Creux Hotel those guests staying at Hotel Petit Champ, Dixcart Bay Hotel and La Moinerie Hotel can be transferred to their hotel by horse-drawn carriage. Alternatively, if guests so wish, bikes can be hired or you can simply make your way on foot.
