Sark Island Hotel’s goal is to research and implement ways to minimize the hotels’ energy and water consumption and promote awareness to environmental campaigns and a number of other initiatives. The idea is make people excited about good “Green” practices and hopefully encourage guests and employees to implement these eco-friendly changes.
From across the Sark Island Hotels’ estate all horticultural waste is composted and used in the raised beds, the greenhouses, the flower containers and the hanging baskets. Running as an eco-friendly theme through Sark Island Hotels and its associated businesses the governing ethos is one of responsibility to the environment and to that end no non-organic practices are employed.
